Mr. Rostyam Sabirov, Director General at JSC Silvinit, made the following statement on the pricing policy of the enterprise in the export markets: “Despite continuing uncertainty of the global financial system Silvinit does not intend to cut prices for its products in the external markets. At the moment we are in talks with customers in our key regions – China, India, Brazil and in countries of South-East Asia – in an effort to keep the positive dynamics seen in the 3d quarter this year. Given higher prices for major food items we expect to see dynamics of potash prices that will favour our business. We consider that shifted dates and changed scope of planned maintenance shutdowns which we are planning for the end-2008 will contribute to further stability in the world potash market.”
